ArcelorMittal commissions new ladle shop in Polish facility

Thursday, 14 June 2012 18:00:27 (GMT+3)   |

Luxembourg-based global steelmaker ArcelorMittal has announced that on June 13 a new ladle shop was commissioned in its Polish steelmaking facility, Dąbrowa Górnicza.

The €3.68 million investment project completed in six months will significantly shorten the production time, cutting the time the ladle takes to circulate between the converters and the continuous casting line by about 15 minutes. This will also result in reduction of the heat losses during transport, improving the company's energy use and its environmental footprint.
