Australian steelmaker BlueScope Steel has announced that it will invest A$415 million in building a metal coating line in western Sydney to expand its metal coating capacity to meet its customers’ growing demand for steel building and construction products.

The additional metal coating line at its Erskine Park site will have an annual production capacity of 240,000 mt of the company’s value-added, metal coated products, such as ZINCALUME® steel and TRUECORE® steel.

The line is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of 2025.
