UK-based steelmaker British Steel has announced that it has opened a new service center with an investment of £26 million at its special profiles business in Skinningrove to serve the forklift truck mast industry. With the new warehousing and processing facility, the company expects to significantly increase throughput within the next two years.

“This is the largest single investment in our Special Profiles business for more than 30 years. Our extended range of products are designed and manufactured to exact customer requirements, with the new milling capability offering profiles with tolerances of just 0.1 mm,” Richard Napier, sales director at Special Profiles business, said.
