China's coal imports rise by 14.4 percent in 2024

In December last year, China’s coal imports amounted to 52.346 million mt, down 4.8 percent month on month and increasing by 10.7 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In 2024 overall, China’s coal imports totaled 542.697 million mt, up 14.4 percent year on year.
