China’s coal output down 5.3 percent in January-July

In the January-July period this year, China’s coal output totaled 2.1 billion mt, decreasing by 5.3 percent year on year, according to China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
 
In the January-July period, China’s import and export volumes of coal amounted to 120 million mt and 2.76 million mt, indicating declines of 33.7 percent and 20.7 percent year on year, respectively.
