China’s coal output increases by 4.3 percent in January-July

In the January-July period of the current year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 2.09 billion mt, increasing by 4.3 percent year on year, 1.7 percentage points higher than the growth recorded in the first half of this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In July alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 320.0 million mt, up 12.2 percent on year on year basis, 1.8 percentage points higher than the growth recorded in June.

China imported 32.89 million mt of coal in July this year, up 13.4 percent, while it imported 187.36 million mt of coal in the January-July period of the year, rising by 7.0 percent, both year on year.
