China’s coke output rises by 3.3 percent in Jan-May

In the January-May period this year, China’s metallurgical coke output amounted to 207.23 million mt, up 3.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 

In the first five months this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.99 billion mt, increasing by 6.0 percent year on year.

In May alone, China’s metallurgical coke and raw coal outputs totaled 42.38 million mt and 400 million mt, up 2.4 percent and 4.2 percent year on year, respectively.
