China’s stainless steel exports up 21.92 percent in 2024

In 2024, China’s stainless steel imports amounted to 1.8777 million mt, down 9.33 percent year on year, according to China’s customs authorities, while China’s stainless steel exports totaled 5.0442 million mt, up 21.92 percent year on year.

In 2024, China’s net export volume of stainless steel amounted to 3.1665 million mt, up 53.24 year on year.

In the given year, China’s apparent consumption of stainless steel totaled 32.4919 million mt, up 4.54 percent year on year.
