Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced that its subsidiary Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works (PNTZ) is going to deliver support wire along with other products for the nuclear sector. The order in question was placed for 1.05 mm round wire, 0.6 mm x 1.3 mm oviform wire and 0.85 mm wire, for future-generation reactors. The new EK 164 alloy, from which the wire is made, is resistant to radioactive impact, which means it can be used for longer.
