Corinth Pipeworks to supply for Greece-Bulgaria pipeline project

Athens-based Greek steel pipe supplier Corinth Pipeworks has announced that it has been awarded a contract by ICGB AD, a joint venture of Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD and IGI Poseidon S.A., to provide for a 187 km long gas pipe line project between Greece and Bulgaria, called Gas Interconnector Greece Bulgaria.

Corinth Pipeworks will be supplying 812 mm diameter steel line pipes manufactured in its Thisvi facility for a period of twelve months. The total fixed price of the line pipe supply is €58.2 million ($64.12 million).

According to the company statement, the development, financing and construction of the pipeline are under the responsibility of the ICGB AD, which will be the owner of the pipeline.
