Danieli to supply new 5-stand cold mill for Turkey-based Tatmetal

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new 5-stand cold mill for Turkish steel producer Tatmetal Celik San. ve Tic. A.S. The new tandem mill will be installed in Eregli, Turkey, linked to an existing continuous pickling line. Danieli will be responsible to integrate the mill to the pickling line. Plant start-up is foreseen for the fourth quarter of 2019.

According to Danieli, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million mt, the new mill will roll strips ranging from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm thickness and up to 1,550 mm in width and it will allow the production of high-strength quality grades with superior strip flatness.
