In 2024, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $3.22 billion, including imports worth $2.77 billion, up 7.5 percent, and exports worth $458.37 million, increasing 11.9 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the preliminary data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the full year, Georgia's imports of steel tubes and pipes from Turkey amounted to 79,219 mt, up 70.9 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports totaled $66.55 million, rising by 51.3 percent on year-on-year basis.
