Tuesday, 03 May 2011 02:27:08 (GMT+3)   |
Steelmaker Severstal announced Sunday that due to severe storms, electrical power was interrupted at its Columbus, Mississippi mill. Back-up power allowed for an orderly shutdown of operations and there was no storm damage to the building or equipment.

According to the Severstal, minimal power supply has been restored to run some finishing operations, but not to the extent for the whole plant to restart yet.
