India’s Chhattisgarh government invites bids for auction of four iron ore blocks

The government of the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh has issued a notice inviting bids for the auction of a grant of composite licences for the development of four iron ore blocks in the state, according to a government notice on Tuesday, January 21.

According to the notice, the four iron ore blocks up for bidding have reserves with an average Fe content of 56-62 percent.

The four blocks are Bailadila Deposit 01A with estimated reserves of 55.27 million mt of average Fe content of 62.81 percent, Bailadila Deposit 01B with 103.25 million mt of iron ore with 62.81 percent Fe content, Bailaidila Deposit 01C containing 129.93 million mt of iron ore with Fe content of 62.81 percent, and Hahaladdi-North Extension Block with 201.614 million mt of ore with Fe content of 56 percent.

The last date for submission of bids has been set for February 28.
