India’s MOIL Limited sees manganese ore production rise 4.5% in April-December

Indian government-run miner MOIL Limited achieved manganese ore production of 1.33 million mt during nine-month period (April-December) of fiscal 2024-25, a rise of 4.5 percent over corresponding period of previous year, according to a company statement said on Friday, January 3.

The company reported total manganese ore sales at 1.139 million mt, a rise of 3.5 percent.

The company has carried out exploratory core drilling of 72,340 meters up to December 2024, which is higher by 19 percent over the previous year, it said in the statement.

MOIL is engaged in the exploration, exploitation, and marketing of manganese ore and products, such as electrolytic manganese dioxide and high-carbon ferro manganese alloy.
