Italy’s Acciaierie Venete to improve SBQ production and energy savings

Friday, 10 January 2025 15:21:18 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will install a second straightening line at Italian steelmaker Acciaierie Venete’s Padova plant in Italy. The new high-productivity straightening line will process SBQ black bars up to 200 mm in diameter, with a yield strength of 1350 N/mm2.

The straightening line solution uses Danieli’s Centro Maskin and Danieli Automation technologies, allowing up to 15 percent savings in energy consumption and line set-up time. Through the monitoring and analysis of the data acquired by the various sensors installed on the line, the technology developed by Danieli can improve the overall process efficiency and eliminate unplanned maintenances.
