Kardemir commissions new converter, capacity rises to 3 million mt

Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has announced that its converter No.3 has been commissioned, with the completion of first casting.
 
The company stated that with the new 120 mt converter, the most important part of the capacity increase to 3 million mt per year has been fulfilled.
 
Kardemir also announced that its blast furnace No. 5 will start production in two weeks.
