Lingyuan Steel’s annual capacity reaches six million mt

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Lingyuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Lingyuan Steel) has announced that its annual capacity has reached 6.0 million mt after years of equipment upgrading and technological transformation.

In 2023, Lingyuan Steel’s outputs of pig iron, crude steel and finished steel amounted to 5.2141 million mt, 5.407 million mt and 5.4071 million mt, respectively.

As for 2024, Lingyuan Steel plans to produce 4.85 million mt of pig iron, 5.4 million mt of crude steel and 5.36 million mt of finished steel. The company also plans to post an operating revenue of RMB 20.2 billion ($2.8 billion), down 0.6 percent year on year.
