Metinvest completes rebranding of its sales network

Tuesday, 11 December 2007 09:35:28 (GMT+3)   |

The Ukrainian steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has presented its restructured steel division sales network, thus announcing the completion of the rebranding process for its steel division sales channels.

Accordingly, Metinvest is channeling its steel sales through a group of four companies responsible for different markets - i.e. Metinvest International S.A. responsible for export markets (outside CIS); Metinvest-Ukraine for all sales to the Ukrainian domestic market and CIS markets (outside Russia); Metinvest-SMC for retail sales; while a new company named Metinvest-Eurasia has been created to represent Metinvest's interests in the Russian market.

Apart from renaming its steel division sales network, Metinvest continues the process of incorporating its steel sales channels into the holding so as to build a more effective interaction between the production and sales divisions of the company.

Metivest stated in its press release that the strategy for its steel division sales network will be realized in line with the development strategy for Metinvest in general and for the company's individual steel mills. Due to the modernization of existing steel production capacities and the construction of new capacities, Metinvest's distribution network is to focus more on sales of higher value added finished steel products, thus moving away from sales of semis.
