MOC: Average steel prices in China down slightly during Jan 6-12

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the January 6-12 period this year the average finished steel prices in China indicated slight decreases.

In the given period, the average prices of hot rolled steel strip, rebar and common medium steel plate decreased by 1.9 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent week on week, respectively.                   

In the same period, the average prices of coking coal and smoke-free lump coal declined by 0.7 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while the average price of thermal coal remained stable, all week on week.
