New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey down 14.6 percent in June from May

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in June this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased by 14.6 percent month on month and went up by 2.5 percent year on year to 198,581 units.

New passenger car registrations in June totaled 75,797 units, down by 15.2 percent as compared to May and up by 0.2 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 38.1 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in June amounted to 13,253 units, down by 15.2 percent month on month and by 18.7 percent year on year. Small truck registrations constituted 6.7 percent of total new registrations in the given month.
