Outokumpu to supply stainless steel rebar for Rodanthe bridge project in US

Finland-based stainless steel producer Outokumpu has announced that it has won a stainless steel rebar order for the Rodanthe bridge project in North Carolina, US.

Accordingly, the company’s Long Products division will supply more than 2,500 metric tons of stainless steel rebar to the Rodanthe Bridge project. Deliveries will be started in the second quarter of the current year and continue through 2020. The bridge is planned to become operational in 2020.

The stainless steel rebar products will be produced at Outokumpu Long Products Richburg plant in South Carolina, US. Outokumpu stated that this is the biggest order of domestic-made rebar for Outokumpu in the US so far.
