Taiwan’s Gloria Materials launches new mini mill

Taiwanese specialty steelmaker Gloria Materials Technology Corporation has fired up its new mini mill supplied by Austria-based melting and casting technologies supplier INTECO Group, according to a statement released by the latter.

The state-of-the-art mill consists of an electric arc furnace and a secondary metallurgical complex equipped with a ladle furnace, a vacuum degasser and argon oxygen decarburization, along with casting facilities.

The entire mill will start operating and will gradually reach its full capacity within the current year.
