Turkey-based BVS Bülbüloğlu Vinç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has announced that Hatay-based domestic steelmaker Koç Metalurji has placed an order worth €4.62 million, including tax, for the supply of a double girder overhead crane for its rebar and wire rod plant that is currently under construction.

Accordingly, the delivery is scheduled to be completed within five to nine months.

Within the scope of its hot rolling mill project entailing an investment of $40 million, Koç Metalurji’s rebar output will increase to 900,000 mt per year from 500,000 mt per year. The company plans to meet the energy needs of the mill with a solar power plant, which will enable it to ensure sustainability in its production processes.
