Turkey’s steel pipe exports rise in February

According to the customs statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 169,597 metric tons, rising by 48.1 percent year on year and up 39.95 percent compared to January this year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $160.6 million, rising by 45.9 percent compared to February 2011 and up 42.2 percent month on month.

On the other hand, in the first two months of 2012 Turkey's steel pipe exports stood at 283,776 metric tons, up 15.5 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $267 million, increasing by 15 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
