Turkey’s YC Inox begins production at Dilovası stainless steel pipe plant

YC Inox TR Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Turkish subsidiary of Taiwanese steelmaker YC Inox, has begun production at its new stainless steel pipe plant in Dilovası, Kocaeli, according to a report in the Turkish daily newspaper Dünya.

Entailing an investment of $80 million, the plant, which was built on a site covering 53,000 square meters, will have a production capacity of 20,000 mt per year in its first phase. The production capacity will be over 30,000 mt per year when all phases are completed.

In the meantime, the Turkish subsidiary aims to position itself as a strategic export hub for Europe, Asia and Africa, strengthening its competitiveness not only in Turkey but also in neighboring markets.  In addition, it plans to build three more facilities for production of welded stainless steel pipes, profiles, sheets, plates, coils, flat bars and angles.
