In November last year, Turkey’s cold rolled coil (CRC) imports amounted to 57,468 metric tons, up by 9.2 percent compared to October and decreasing by 10.6 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports totaled $39.91 million, increasing by 1.4 percent compared to the previous month and down by 20.7 percent year on year.
In the January-November period, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 687,100 mt, down 17.9 percent, while the value of these imports fell by 21.5 percent to $527.14 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey’s largest CRC import source was South Korea, which supplied 192,347 mt. South Korea was followed by China with 160,580 mt and Russia with 153,422 mt.
