Turkey’s wire rod exports up by 29.5 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 26,514 metric tons, down by 13.8 percent compared to October and by 71.2 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $16.43 million, decreasing by 69.0 percent compared to the previous month and by 13.0 percent year on year.

In the January-November period, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 792,635 mt, up 29.5 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 24.7 percent to $485.91 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest wire rod export destination was Romania which received 237,516 mt. Romania was followed by Australia with 72,477 mt and Bulgaria with 66,952 mt.
