Turkish metal producers' sales prices increase further in September

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year the domestic producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general increased by 0.85 percent from August and was up 9.84 percent year on year, while an average rise of 9.84 percent was registered for the latest 12 months.
 
In September this year, the domestic PPI for Turkey's basic metal industry increased by 1.13 percent on month-on-month basis and was up 6.31 percent compared to September 2013. Meanwhile, the average increase in the domestic PPI for the latest 12 months was 10.16 percent.
On the other hand, in September of the current year the domestic PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, remained stable as compared to August and was up 8.46 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average increase of 11.56 percent in the PPI index was registered for the latest 12 months.
