Ukraine-based Interpipe sees higher net profit and sales revenues in 2023

Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced its financial and operational results for 2023. The company stated that it has continued operating in a challenging environment with its capacity utilization rate not exceeding 70 percent throughout last year.

In the given year, Interpipe posted a net profit of $252.89 million compared to $204.44 million recorded in 2022, while its total sales revenues rose by 0.7 percent year on year to $988.7 million. The company’s operating profit in the given period was $358.46 million, increasing by 29.2 percent from $277.37 million recorded in 2022.

On the other hand, Interpipe’s steel and pipe production in 2023 totaled 680,000 mt and 395,000 mt, up by 14.3 percent and 0.5 percent year on year, respectively, while its railway products production totaled 100,000 mt.

For 2024, Interpipe expects to ramp up sales volumes and capital investments. However, its plans for 2024 are subject to the sustainability of the energy system of Ukraine.
