Ukraine’s ferroalloy export value down 19.3 percent in Jan-August

In the January-August period this year, Ukraine exported $635,587 million worth of ferroalloys, down 19.3 percent year on year, with the total export volume for the given period amounting to 577,557 mt, down 9.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
 
The main importers of Ukrainian ferroalloys in terms of value in the given period were the Netherlands (23.17 percent), Turkey (17.82 percent) and Russia (11.75 percent).
 
In the first eight months of this year, Ukraine imported 33,026 mt of ferroalloys, down 55.8 percent year on year, worth a total of $76,075 million, down 55.8 percent year on year. In monetary terms, import decreased by 52.1 percent to $76,075 million mt compared to the same period of 2014. The main suppliers of ferroalloy imports in the January-August period of the current year were Russia, which supplied 26.18 percent of the total import volume, India (12.39 percent) and Brazil (10.73 percent).
