Ukraine’s Zaporizhstal posts higher outputs for Jan-Oct

Ukraine-based Zaporizhstal steel mill, which belongs to Metinvest, has announced its production results for October and the first 10 months of this year.

Accordingly, in October Zaporizhstal produced 267,300 mt of pig iron, 251,700 mt of crude steel and 208,600 mt of finished steel, increasing by 70.2 percent, 106.8 percent and 104.9 percent year on year, respectively.

In the January-October period, Zaporizhstal’s pig iron production totaled 2.19 million mt, up by 27.1 percent, while the company produced 1.99 million mt of crude steel and 1.65 million mt of finished steel, up by 49.7 percent and by 40.6 percent, respectively, all year on year.
