UNESID: Spanish steel output rises by 2.8 percent in May from April

According to the Spanish steelmakers association UNESID, in May this year Spain’s steel production totaled 1.10 million mt, up by 2.8 percent month on month and by 9.1 percent year on year.

In the given month, the Spanish steel industry recycled 884,000 mt of scrap to be used for new steel products, decreasing by 2.5 percent compared to April and up by 0.8 percent year on year.
