UNESID: Spanish steel output up 21.1 percent in Jan from Dec

According to the Spanish steelmakers association UNESID, in January this year Spain’s steel production totaled 1.01 million mt, up by 21.1 percent month on month and by 3.1 percent year on year.

In the given month, the Spanish steel industry recycled 770,000 mt of scrap to be used for new steel products, rising by 25.8 percent compared to December and by 1.2 percent year on year.
