On Friday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its preliminary results in the administrative review of the antidumping order on light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from Mexico.

The review originally covered three Mexican producers/exporters - Maquilacero S.A. de C.V.; Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos S.A. de C.V.; and Nacional de Acero S.A. de C.V. - during the period from August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2012.

The DOC has calculated the following preliminary dumping margins: (a) Maquilacero - 0.00 percent; and (b) Regiomontana - 1.45 percent.

At the same time, the DOC has rescinded the review of Nacional de Acero because the company withdrew its request for an administrative review.

The current dumping duty deposit rates are 0.00 percent for Maquilacero and Regiomontana and 6.13 percent for Nacional de Acero.

The DOC plans to complete this review by January 2014. The current dumping duty deposit rates will remain in effect until the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.
