US hot rolled bar exports up 3.7 percent in June from May

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot rolled bar totaled 30,733 mt in June this year, up 3.7 percent from May and down 10.4 percent in June last year. By value, hot rolled bar exports totaled $50.2 million in June, compared to $48.4 million in the previous month and $60.4 million in the same month last year.

The US shipped the most hot rolled bar to Mexico in June with 16,844 mt, compared to 16,090 mt in May and 20,892 mt in June last year. The other top destination was Canada, with 11,002 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) US hot rolled bar in June.
