US HRC exports down 7.5 percent in June from May

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot rolled coils totaled 64,077 mt in June this year, down 7.5 percent from May and down 33.4 percent from June last year. By value, HRC exports totaled $66.3 million in June, compared to $71.8 million in the previous month and $105.1 million in the same month last year.

The US shipped the most HRC to Mexico in June with 38,054 mt, compared to 41,549 mt in May and 74,807 mt in June last year. The other top destination was Canada, with 25,807 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HRC exports in June.
