US rebar imports down 24.6 percent in November from October

According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of rebar totaled 66,103 mt in November last year, down 24.6 percent month on month and down 4.2 percent year on year. By value, rebar imports totaled $43.3 million in November last year, compared to $52.3 million in October and $42.9 million in November last year.

The US imported the most rebar from the United Arab Emirates in November with 22,558 mt. Other top sources of imported rebar in November include Bulgaria with 20,401 mt, Mexico with 13,119 mt, and Canada with 9,603 mt.
