Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending on January 10, 2025, the US rotary rig count decreased by five to 584.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by three to 100 and the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by two to 484. The overall US rig count is down by 35 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 122 to 216 rigs in the week ending January 10. The Canadian rig count was up by 3 compared to the same reporting period in the previous year.
