Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending on December 6, 2024, the US rotary rig count increased by seven to 589.
The number of rigs drilling for gas increased by two to 102 and the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by three to 487. The overall US rig count is down by 37 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by eleven to 194 rigs in the week ending December 6. The Canadian rig count did not change compared to the same reporting period in the previous year.
