US tin plate exports up 11.4 percent in October from September

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 4,762 mt in October this year up 11.4 percent month on month and down 74.6 percent from October last year. By value, tin plate exports totaled $5.5 million in October compared to $5.0 million in the previous month and $9.2 million in the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to Canada in October with 1,517 mt compared to 920 mt in September and 2,522 mt in October last year. The other top destination was Mexico with 1,436 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US tin plate in October.
