Wire rod consumption in Mexico down 25 percent in October

Mexico's apparent wire rod consumption decreased 25.2 percent year-over-year in October to 178,000 metric tons (mt), according to Canacero data, reviewed by SteelOrbis. Wire rod production decreased 21.8 percent year-over-year to 169,000 mt.

In the January-October period, wire rod consumption decreased 9.1 percent to 2.12 million mt and production decreased 12.4 percent to 1.94 million mt.
