Wire rod exports from Brazil have reached 6,100 mt in June, against 28,700 mt in May, according to customs.
The exports of June were destined to the US (3,500 mt at $831/mt), South American countries (2,300 mt at $667/mt), and the Netherlands (300 mt at $609/mt), all FOB conditions.
The exports were from ArcelorMittal (5,500 mt at $775/mt), Simec (500 mt at $567/mt) and Gerdau (100 mt at $887/mt).
Meanwhile, Brazil imported 11,900 mt of wire rod in June, against 15,600 mt in May.
The imports were from China (6,600 mt at $575/mt), Turkey (3,700 mt at $468/mt), Russia (800 mt at $468/mt) and Germany (800 mt at $1,035/mt).
