The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $830/mt, down from $840/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,500/mt ($952/mt), stable two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
In October, Brazil exported 6,500 mt and imported 31,800 mt of HRC against respectively 3,400 mt and 99,900 mt in September.
The exports were destined to South American countries (4,000 mt at $587/mt) and to the Dominican Republic (2,500 mt at $562/mt), shipped by ArcelorMittal (6,000 mt at $560/mt) and Usiminas (500 mt $779/mt), all FOB conditions.
The imports came from China (31,500 mt at $596/mt) and South Korea (300 mt at $891/mt), also FOB conditions.
