The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients at a reference price of $790/mt, against $810/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,850/mt ($885/mt) against BRL 5,300/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
In July, Brazil exported 82,100 mt and imported 42,600 mt of HRC against, respectively, 8,500 mt and 39,800 mt in June.
The exports of July were destined to Portugal (61,300 mt at $720/mt), South American countries (13,700 mt at $625/mt), and the US (7,100 mt at $639/mt), FOB conditions.
The exporters were CSN (68,400 mt at $712/mt), ArcelorMittal (12,000 mt at $575/mt), and Usiminas (1,700 mt at $985/mt).
The imports were from China (42,300 mt at $613/mt) and South Korea (300 mt at $833/mt), also FOB conditions.
