CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $775/mt, CFR conditions, against $790/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In June, Brazil exported 700 mt and imported 5,600 mt of CRC, against respectively 33,200 mt and 32,000 mt in May.

The decline of exports reportedly reflects postponements of shipments from June to July.

The exports of June were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (400 mt at $917/mt) and Usiminas (200 mt at $882/mt), FOB conditions, while small volumes were exported by CSN and by traders.

The imports came from Asia (4,600 mt, of which 3,100 mt from China at $685/mt) and Europe (1,000 mt at $1,131/mt), also FOB conditions,

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is now offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,200/mt ($1,133/mt), against BRL 6,260/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
