CRC import price offers decline in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $730/mt, CFR conditions, against $765/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In July, Brazil exported 3,500 mt and imported 47,100 mt of CRC, against respectively 700 mt and 5,600 mt in June.

The exports of July were destined to South American countries (1,900 mt at $1,095/mt) and to the US (1,600 mt at $790/mt) shipped by CSN (1,600 mt at $793/mt), Usiminas (1,600 mt at $1,109/mt), ArcelorMittal (200 mt at $1,069/mt), and by traders (100 mt at $1,134/mt), all FOB conditions.

The imports were from China (45,000 mt at $656/mt), South Korea (1,200 mt at $1,144/mt), and Europe (900 mt at $1,144/mt), also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,100/mt ($1,115/mt), against BRL 6,200/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
