CRC import price offers increase in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $710/mt, CFR conditions, against $680/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In September, Brazil exported 1,600 mt at $1,061/mt and imported 43,000 mt at $630/mt of CRC against 7,600 mt at $906/mt and 65,000 mt at $639/mt in August, both FOB conditions.

The exports of September were destined to Argentina (1,500 mt at $1,061/mt) and the US (100 mt at $848/mt), while the imports came from China (41,100 mt at $618/mt), South Korea (1,700 mt at $877/mt), and Europe (200 mt at $971/mt).

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 5,850/mt ($1,068/mt), against BRL 5,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
