India’s RINL floats second billet export tender, for 20,000 mt, for early Oct shipment

Indian government-run steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has on the second consecutive day floated a new export tender for prime rolled steel billet, for 20,000 mt, for early October shipment, company sources said on Tuesday, August 20. While the first tender is for 150 mm billet, the second tender is for 90 mm billet.

The last date for submission of bids in the new tender has been set for August 27 for a minimum bid volume of 10,000 mt.

Delivery will be executed against international letter of credit on payable at sight terms.

With this tender, RINL currently has two export tenders running concurrently for an aggregate volume of 50,000 mt, with the earlier tender for 30,000 mt scheduled to close on August 23.
