Iskenderun-based Turkish mill hikes its merchant bar price as week ends

An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has hiked its equal angle (30-100 mm) price by TRY 250/mt ($7/mt) to TRY 22,450/mt ($655/mt) ex-works today, October 18, compared to Tuesday, October 15, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import billet.

A few re-rollers are also offering their HEA/HEB (550-700 mm, standard) at TRY 28,050/mt ($818/mt), stable in the local currency and with minor changes on US dollar basis, over the same period, for delivery to Osmaniye.

**The mill’s current merchant bar price indicates a TRY 950/mt ($27/mt) increase compared to Monday, October 7.
